I Break Horses: Denial (new)

IBH new stillHHHH

If you have yourself a copy of issue one of Lionheart Magazine, you will know that Lionheart is a fan of I Break Horses. After a brilliant and very length chat on the phone over the land and seas to Maria Lindén, in Sweden, I compiled the interview you will discover in issue one. We talk shoe-gaze, landscapes, childhoods, ambitions and day jobs. One of my favourite artists to interview, excellent music.

The band have a new, MOST fabulous single released on Bella Union, Denial. A taster of what’s to come in their forthcoming album, it’s faster paced and with fading in and out, their usual multitude of sounds sweeping together and the mystical vocal charms of Maria, I love it. It’s a bit punchier, but still full of that whimsical dream pop edge, holding a distinctly Scandinavian in style (as opposed to Californian dream pop styling) – you can sense the mountains and lakes with every sweep.

Listen to the track here – it includes a remix by RxGibbs. The remix is something beautiful to behold, it really is.

Particularly welcome after a hectic week – this is firmly on my weekend (all time) playlist. Enjoy.

I’m new to visiting your blog, though I recently ordered a set of mags from you (on 21 July).
I’m hoping they arrive soon, as they’ll be my holiday reading and we leave next Saturday…
